War in Ukraine continues as Russia strikes besieged city of Mariupol

According to the Pentagon, Ukrainian soldiers are successfully fighting back against invading Russian forces to reclaim ground in some parts of the country. Around 100,000 civilians remain trapped inside Mariupol in “inhumane conditions”, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said. US President Joe Biden is set to travel to Europe  for an emergency NATO summit on Ukraine.
