MS Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, has announced his retirement from international cricket. Dhoni retires as India’s most successful captain, won three ICC trophies – 2007 T20 World Cup, 50-over World Cup in 2011 and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy – the only captain to do so. MS Dhoni‘s international cricket journey started in 2004 at Chittagong against Bangladesh where he became India’s 157th ODI cricketer. A young team led by MS Dhoni was selected to go for the T20 World Cup in South Africa. India won the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup on 24th September, 2007 and the rest as they say is history.
