Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik Arrested

Nawab Malik, the second Maharashtra Minister to be arrested by a central probe agency in four months, faces charges related to a land deal linked to fugitive terrorist Dawood Ibrahim. The Enforcement Directorate claims Nawab Malik grabbed property in Mumbai’s Kurla worth ₹ 300 crore by paying just ₹ 55 lakh in 2005, with the help of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister, Haseena Parkar, and two associates.

Malik announced, “I will fight, win and expose everyone.” Malik, who was being escorted by ED personnel as they were taking him to J J Hospital for a medical check-up, appeared before journalists with a smile, hinting that his fight would continue despite his arrest.
